If the Shoe Fits - Wear It.

A common misconception among athletes and non-athletes alike, is that as long as the shoe is comfortable in the store, it’s going to be a winner on the road or turf. Some people go as far as hitting the trails for a long hike or run - all without breaking the new footwear in beforehand. A painful ending is imminent. Break-in is essential!

So the next time you’re ready to invest in a new pair of performance footwear, do yourself a favor and get your feet measured for the proper length and width. Have the footwear dept. staff help find a shoe that accommodates any foot pain issues you know are a problem (whether PF, heel spurs, bunions, hammertoe, etc.). Also be sure you are prepared with quality socks, insoles (aka orthotics or footbeds) and any anti-friction / chafing products the store recommends.

Give your feet a break - and be sure to find footwear designed for your unique foot shape and activity level. Check the inside of the shoes for seams that may cause blister problems down the road.

ENGO Blister Patches work wonders for creating a smooth interface at material seams.
