Soles4 Soles - Shoes Making a Difference!
I recently heard about an organization called Soles4Soles founded on the mission to deliver used footwear to children and adults around the world. Upon further research, I was delighted to read about this wonderful organization and their dedication to cleaning out the closets of more fortunate invididuals to benefit the health & independence of individuals abroad. And more impressed by all the promotional literature and assistance available to make these shoe drives successful.
The non-profit organization works with footwear manufacturers, retailers, churches and schools to organize shoe drives for individuals to drop off their gently worn footwear at various locations across the USA.
Although Soles4Souls facilitates the distribution of footwear to needy regions of the world, they need our help to make the program successful.
How can we help?
- Toss your gently worn shoes in a shoebox and send them to one of the Soles4Souls warehouse locations (visit www.soles4souls.org for address)
- If possible, include $1 per pair of footwear to help cover the shipping cost Soles4Souls will incur.
- Organize a shoe drive in your area - contact Soles4Souls for promotional material and assistance with setting up your event.
- Make a monetary donation to the organization to support their efforts (your donations are tax deductable)
