Lisa Smith-Batchen, World Class Athlete & Training Coach has announced plans to tackle the Badwater Double once again in 2007. Raising money for Myeloproliferative Disease (MPD), Lisa will make the 135 mile journey from Badwater, California through Death Valley and beyond the finish line at Mt. Whitney, and back down for a total of 300 miles.

Lisa has competed in the Badwater Ultramarathon seven times, winning the women’s division twice. She has completed more than 30 ultramarathons, 90 marathons, and 7 Ironman triathlons. Lisa has also completed the Marathon Des Sables race through the Sahara Desert twice, and is the only American women ever to win the women’s division of that race.
